Music

 

In addition to high quality whole class music lessons, children at Ss Peter and Paul have many additional opportunities to develop musical skills. 

 They can have instrumental lessons in piano, guitar and flute. These are provided by professional  music teachers. The children can work towards graded exams and are given many opportunities to perform for school and parents. 

Each year, the children in Key Stage Two are given the opportunity to take part in Young Voices. This is a very exciting even where the children perform, alongside choir members for many other schools, for a large audience. They are accompanied by a live band and sing along with well-known musicians such as Heather Small. This is an amazing even which the children look forward to all year! 

 At Ss Peter and Paul, we like to put our faith into action. As part of this, we use music in our worship and enjoy going out in to the community to sing for our parishioners and other community groups. Each class in school performs during the year to present the Christmas and Easter Stories.
