Our Music Intent

At Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School, we will inspire a love of music in our children, ensuring that they appreciate its value as a powerful way of communicating feelings, supporting mindfulness and mental health and representing stories and nature. The children will engage with music from a range of genre, musical era, styles and traditions and studying the lives and works of a range of composers. Through a variety of musical opportunities, the children will develop many skills including fine motor, description and interpretation, collaboration. In addition, they will grow in self-esteem, confidence and sense of achievement.
