FOSPAP Raffles
FOSPAP Raffles
What: Raffles are organised by FOSPAP, a charity with the aim of raising funds for all the children in school. A raffle is an activity where people buy raffle tickets in return for the chance to win a prize. Tickets are randomly chosen to select winners, the prizes that are up for grabs are normally donated.
Who: FOSPAP volunteers plan and sell raffle tickets in advance of the advertised draw date. All school families are welcome to participate.
How: Tickets are sold in advance of the draw, or on the day, dependent on the raffle type. Usually the raffle prize is drawn at an event, for example the Christmas Hamper raffle is drawn following the Christmas KS1 performance. Prizes in the main are donated by families in school, local and corporate businesses.
Why: The proceeds raised from raffle ticket sales are all collected for the FOSPAP charity, raffles are a fun and simple way for families to contribute to their school charity while participating in a game of chance.
When: Hamper raffles usually take place around Christmas (December) and Sports Day (June). We have also run raffles for large teddy bears (November), a giant elf (December) and Power Bar golden tickets (February).
How to volunteer: Can you spare your time to help plan this event or are you able to donate a raffle prize? Are you able to offer printing services for the raffle tickets? If there is anything you can do to support this event please do reach out to us at FOSPAP1@gmail.com
